GCPP: Furnishing Round One

We are nearing the end of the third and final round of the Grand Crafting Puzzle Project. This round focused on the furnishing industry. The designers have worked very hard to try and come up with fun and invigorating puzzles that could be added to the game to round out the crafting industries.

Now is the chance for all the players to help out.

Each week we will be highlighting two of the designs for discussion and feedback. To take part, you just need to play the designs, answer some questions, and optionally add other comments you have.

After all puzzles have been highlighted, we will have a random prize drawing for the players who provided feedback on all of the designs.

This week the designs are:

Fredi. A pattern building game similar to tangrams.

Loosejaw. Build furniture out of wood off of a conveyer belt.

Discussion and feedback for the entire round may be done here.

Enjoy the puzzles. And furnish well.

I think that there should be a fruit hat so that people can actually use Limes, pineapples, rambatans and passionfruit and tailors can trade them.

there should be a new type of talor stall and you should give out a free sloop to new members when they start

I like the loosejaw one -- and had a similar idea as a tailor puzzle.

Hmmm..isn't that the purpose of subscribing? Buying things - eh...you can always buy swords, and clothes just not ships or maybe housing beyond a shack.

I like the idea of using fruit in the tailor shoppes and yea, even a sloop for everyone who subscribes or iscurrently subscribed.

In addition the palaces should be required to buy the foraged fruits also. It would be nice to see durians, bananas, pomagranets as part of the foraging and less of the darn pineapples!

i dont like this idea because im really bad at math so if maybe we did somthing on the bases of carping instead of tangograms, it would be better for the people who are bad at math and geography.

For new Officers, but maybe not a sloop, one of those beginer ships, where you get traded yer bandana and start to bilge/carp/sails =)

Good Idea Fredi, It would be an excellent idea to the game, :)

A idea for a puzzle (that i thought of) is where you can i choose a button which is says "Make" or "Paint". If you click on "make" it gives you different kinds of wood, screws, bolts, etc. And you have to put it all together in the correct way it tells you. the faster you do it it...the better you. If you select "Paint" the it will give you different kinds of brushes, and paint colors. You will have to pick the correct brush, color, and paint the correct desins to do good.

Hope you like my idea

I want the puzzle that looks least like any of the others. While bilging, treasure haul, and foraging play different, they're not different enough. Overall, the conveyor belt has the most promise to me, but not if it's going to look like carpentry

yea i like all these people ideas and i think that you should get a sloop when you become an officer

i really think the converbelt i dea sounds really cool but i was reading jojomilkk's idea thats the best thing I've head so far and think it would be good if we could do that

thanx! :D

the assembly line idea is quite similar to a game called 'Factory' it was a great deal of fun and encouraged players to design their own assembly lines.

Could there not be some sort of implementation of a tetris style 'slotting of carpentry joints' ?

I know that some people have been critical of too much of a carpentry puzzle, but perhaps an amalgamated version of blacksmithing and carpentry to represent metalworking and the like could be a good puzzle for furnishing.

I think that you should get rid of doubloons, things are expensive enough without them. There should definitely be a word scramble game. If we are meant to be pirates well then I think that we should start of with some sort of boat even if it is just a piece of driftwood. =)
