What I Did On My Summer Holiday

If you follow my Twitter feed, you're probably aware that I've been travelling this summer. One of the cool things about this job is that I can take it with me - have laptop, have internet connection, have job. I spent some time travelling about the North of England, generally having great adventures, made a quick stop in London, where I met some of you and drank some excellent cider (protip: to make Gaea happy, apply an apple-y alcoholic beverage) and am currently visiting Canada. (I won't narrow it down further than that, though. Wikipedia advises me that Canada's only got about thirty million people in it. Obviously a small place, so you should have no trouble finding me!) I'll be going home in a few days, and am very much looking forward to being back in my own timezone and bed, and not having to pull out a spreadsheet and do math to work out what time I'm supposed to be on-duty!

Not that I'm ever confused. Nope. Nosirree. Of course not. Just ask... Hera! Yes, Hera will testify to the fact that I am constantly on top of things and never muddled at all. Because I have Cronus tied up in the basement

The main reason for this blog entry, though, was that I wanted to share some of my holiday photos with you. One from Somewhere Very High Up, two from England, and one from Mystery-Canadian-Spot. If I've done this right, clicking on the pictures should embiggen them.

WARNING: The second one from England may cause cavities, it's so sweet. Cute Overload has nothing on this blog entry.

Puffins are possibly the cutest adult birds there are. N'awww.

I have been to Manchester, though not recently, alas. As I recall, it has some great museums.

I hope ye have warm clothes with ye... it's quite chilly at night.

Hee! I know it's a big place (in fact, a Puzzle Pirate whose name escapes me forwarded a song to that effect, called "Canada's Really Big"). I was teasing ;-)
