Winter Wonderland?
Some of you have already guessed that I’m not a winter person at all. Now that winter has hit New Zealand I’m feeling very grumpy about the season and very envious of all those mates who send me tells bragging about their hot sunny summer holidays.
A nasty cold snap has hit New Zealand and it is currently snowing where I am.
Snow is lovely if you are inside a warm house watching it fall. Preferably whilst sitting on a couch sipping hot chocolate in front of a roaring fire. (Or, even better, sitting in front of a computer pillaging or making a run into Atlantis!) Having to actually go out in it changes snow from being lovely to being horrible nasty cold stuff. Unfortunately, because I have a number of cows and other livestock where I live, I don’t have the option of sitting inside while it falls. I have to go out wading through it to feed out, check electric fences and move stock. Winter has only just begun and I'm already rather tired of suffering the indignities of frozen toes and a red nose. I want my summer back now, plskthx!
So please, you lovely sun drenched pirates, don't brag about your weather too much to me. I may just cry.

Well, this was my winter: early December we got about 36 inches in as many hours and none of it went away until April.

Sorry, but if no one else was going to, I have to. ZOMG, in Texas we are having upper 90s lower 100s almost every day, swimming pools are a must, everyone is out in their bathing suits, and having fun in the sun, it is pure bliss. Ice cream is so amazingly good when it is hot outside ya' know? Also, there are SO many UNfrozen rivers and creeks to go kayaking in, or to just splash around in in general. So, all is well and good over here, I just thought I should let you know.

Does it help in any way if i say i'm jealous of you? Because i am. I love snow! I've walking around in it. It's only a pain if i have to do my shopping on my bicycle, but hey, still extatic when snow starts to fall.
And i hate hot summer weather. Which fortunately we haven't really had really hot weather much yet. Thank goodness. Me and heat do not combine well, and i always end up feeling sick. I get all day long headaches and diarrhea.
And my house is facing due south, getting full sun exposure, making it bloody hot inside, and impossible to cool down. Especially my bedroom, which is located directly under the roof and only has a window on the south side. You walk in there and it feels like a wall of heat hitting you. I often end up crashing on an airbed in the living room because it's just too hot in my bedroom to sleep there.
No, summer sucks, gimme winter any day.

I am jealous of you too, Hera. (Not bragging but complaining) It's so freaking hot I'm MELTING (like the snow you have) here. Sheesh.
While you're (blessed) with the pain of 4 different seasons. I'm stuck with either the rain or the sun. I love winter! and I love snow too! I'll give anything to have a snowball to throw at my annoying sister.
And please! Feel free to move to any country (Points at Singapore - Then maybe we'll get some events at a decent time >.<) on the equator where you can burn your *says delicately* arse till you're happy (since we do not have the 4 seasons). You might not feel this way, but Enjoy the snow while you can!
PS: If you do move here would you please buy a lamb puppet for me before you come over? My auntie has sent out a decree (to the family) any of us who goes to NZ to buy one for my little cousin. Thanks! :P

Aww, poor Hera. D: I'd sure rather it snowed than have it boiling hot..... I can't go outside without setting on fire. Gosh, they need some type of weather machine which can set it to overcast forever. Stupid sun!
Btw teh snow looks pretty. Sun burns people to shizzle and gives you all flaky skin and crap. So stop complaining! <3
