At long last, pirates across the great oceans can finally begin personalizing their favorite ships with new shipboard gear! To help you prepare to turn your old and busted sloop into a completely tricked-out piracy machine, let's take a closer look at the bevy of items now available for purchase from your local Furnisher.

First off, new cannons! The new Gilded-style cannon is available in all three sizes, and looks as great on a sloop as it does on a war frigate!

Next is the new Gilded Helm. Don't worry: one size fits all!

And we've saved the best for last: new figureheads! Narrow ships, like the sloop, get the new Gryphon figurehead...

...while larger ships can utilize the new Sea Serpent prow!

This next one should be familiar to anyone who previously owned a large ship, but it's now available for placement on ships as small as a cutter: the mermaid figurehead!

The Summer be in full swing, indeed! And we're marking a first for Three Rings: the launch of two Oceans at the same time!

Both Crimson (our first Family Ocean) and Jade (our first Spanish-language Ocean) are now launched!

The Census Bureau be closed, me buckos! But you're all welcome to peruse census data from our recent survey of the player population. Enjoy!

We hope to use the results to help us make better decisions about the game in the future. The census will be accessible through till Thursday, July 16th PST. After that, we'll get together some interesting statistics to share with ye!

Ever wanted to get yerself an item of clothing, a sword, or vessel and ye need it right then? Well, now you can!

Starting today, shoppes on every Ocean will be able to deliver items to you immediately. Each shoppe will have a labor reserve they can use to complete items for sale and get them to you as soon as you want them, customized how ye see fit. Ye should try it out!

The Labor Reserve is the first of several updates we plan to make that we hope we make the economy a more interesting and important aspect of the game, for roaming Pirates and Shoppe and Stall owners alike. Look for more changes coming in the future!

Today, we're announcing a further expansion to the world of Puzzle Pirates. Our first Family Server! We've chosen the color red to refer to Family servers. And Crimson be our first. We hope we'll be adding many more Red Servers in the future!

Family/"red" Oceans differ from regular blue and green Oceans in several important ways. Most importantly, red Oceans are intended for players of all ages and, as such, will operate with greater user protection and a few limitations not present on the other Ocean types.

Ultimately, our goal with Crimson is to launch an Ocean that provide fun and engagement for both parents and their children. To provide as safe an environment as possible:

• More stringent chat limitations will be in place on Crimson
• Certain adult-themed aspects of the game will be decremented, including
  • Poker
  • Drinking
  • Wagering
  • Sinking activites
  • Sea Monsters
• Crimson will also operate with slightly different payment options
