It Be Time to Vote, Pirates!
Ahoy!
The Cursed Isles bring opportunity for bounty for all buccaneers brave enough to face their dark terrors.
Some of that bounty will bear a unique color that can only be found in the Cursed Isles. Before we launch, we need to decide what that color might be.
Our artists would like yer help! Take a look at the color options above provided by our two artist. Have a favorite? Well, then VOTE!
Ye can vote here for yer preferred color. Comments and other inputs won't count, though we'd love to here yer thoughts. The survey will run til November 11th. We'll be adding the color you pick to the Cursed Isles release shortly thereafter!
And, it being November 4th, we remind all eligible pirates that they should be gettin' their voting boots on for reals! Don't forget now!

I voted for the orange as well... It just seems far more vibrant and exciting. Sometimes the colors on PP are a little muted, and that disappoints me.

In my opinion both colours are too similar to what is already available. Having heard we were going to choose the colour I though we would have free reight of suggestions, my first thought was this could be a blood red, though I thought this would be a little close to either red or maroon, plum could be a suitable compromise. My other ideas were a "dark as night" dark grey as the cursed are creatures of the night if the cursed isle is permanently dark as an island under skellies this could work or a mustard yellow as Vargas is bananas (unfortunately banana yellow is already used)

Dissapointed. Would've liked a pale yellow or any pastel colour for that matter. A new shade of green, or a darker navy would've been nice too... Oh well... I think I'm going for the Ored. Please, for the love of god, don't call it that though. I'd have to hang myself if I walk into the inn one day and hear 'i ar selink old ored pntaloonz! snd me tell!'.

I voted on the Navy-Purple one, beacause the difference in colour is significant, and the Ored one looks just like a lil' bit brighter red... So Nyeah, and my pick looks like more fitting to cursed islands, voodoo, and dark arts. And just imagine how it would look with black.... >:D

Whichever is chosen, I do hope it gets paired up with a larger variety of colors than Atlantean blue was. (Atlantean would look scuppering awesome with green/lime/mint/magenta.)

Hmmm tough call. Personally, my favorite colors are blue and green so this should not be difficult. My problem is that I would really like to see the colors with others, pavy looks like it might be too close to blue. I do like the shade of ored, but it is pretty close to red. It would also help a bunch to see what colors it would be combined with.
Any chance of some color palettes?

lol Pavy and Purblue. Personally having to see a brightly colored "ghost" (more like pixey) would be ackward. RAWR fear the ghosties of fruitloops!!! We are gonna see these on the GHOSTS ALSO!!
It doesnt matter to me but any shade of blue is my favorite. ^_^

No, wait, that's green...
In that case, here are me thoughts:
Ored is the new orange! The old orange looks like yellow with a hint of orange in it. Pavy (grape) is a lighter and more virbrant purple, and I like it also. So I think ye should put both in the game and replace the old orange with Ored, and have Grape be the Cursed Color. How does that sound?

When will the devs recognize the needs and desires of monochromatic pirates? Our clothes may be dark but our souls are not. We need love too! Please please for the next color consider a dark gray. The difference between gray and black is just far too great.

(I voted for color two anyhow... atlantean is already a bluish color so why not mix it up? Even though I like the blurple color better )

I want to see a third choice. A spooky new green would be wonderful and has some support already. The Atlantean Blue color has the benefit of being rare and attractive. Let's choose a good and cursed color!

I voted for the purple.
But the truth is,
1. I want the orange. I want it to be purchasable.
2. What I really want for one of my characters is a better choice in the greens!
3. And the color standard of YPP is ... what? Is it sRGB, which will make cyans impossible? Is it adobe, or apple, or Epson? If I want to show off my color co-ordination to a contest judge, and it looks great on my system, but horrible on theirs, is that because there's no color standard in the game at all? Can I just adjust the colors on the monitor to make my cheap outfit look expensive?
If I adjust my monitor to the Apple color calibrator standard, will what I see look anything like what a PC user sees? Does Vista have any sort of standard color calibration (XP does not)? Does YPP even attempt to specify a calibration when you say /print?
Your artists went to great length to come up with colors that fill certain needs, but that's based on their screens. What are their screens calibrated to?

Theres already three shades of purple and four of blue!! No to the purpleyblue (Sorry Greenbones!). I personally think the orangered (Pumpkin?) is gorgeous! If only it was available in the shops.. Along with a dark grey (Or gray for those that way inclined :p) and a cream/beige colour.. And a nice plum :D xxx
