Three Sweepstakes for August!

Winnings!

The Great Pirate Sweepstakes are here!

For the next three weeks, we'll be holding a series of sweepstakes with real world prizes. Each Friday, we'll be drawing for:

  • A Nintendo Wii
  • Two second prizes: a DSi

  • Participation in the sweepstakes is easy: Players must complete an in-game challenge assigned each week in order to qualify. This week, to qualify, you must:

    Play 10 different puzzles

That's it! You'll be notified that you've qualified with an in-game announcement. To commemorate this joyous event, we'll also be giving away our first monthly participation trophy. The August edition! The trophy will be awarded when you complete your first sweepstakes challenge.

If yer a more detail oriented Pirate, ye can check out the details here.

You forgot to mention "don't put your password on the post card". Although I bet you'd get at least one of those cards anyway, even if you did add it. =P

What's this 'affidavit'? I'm thinking legal document, but you say 'a simple declaration from the player'. Could you elaborate please?

I think it would be interesting to see some statistics on the first round showing which was the preferred option - challenging other players or challenging the NPPs. Of course ocean population would need to be taken into account, but I know I opted for the NPPs on all three characters.

In both the Spyglass and Promotional link it says the challenge for the first sweepstakes is the 10 one-on-one challenges. It that the same for the other two weeks as well?

Is there 3 different badges you will be able to collect, or just one out of 3?? Seems rather confusing if you ask me. It does not make this statement anywhere just tells you how to get the badge but doesn't say that you may collect all 3.

Its surprising how little faith people have in OOO. I have always found them incredibly good, and no way in hell would they ever try and rig a competition of their own design.

Well I'm not from the US or Canada and I won a Wii so I don't think that Welly's point is valid.

I have yet to hear back from support though even though I've sent 3 e-mails - I'll let people know whether or not the prize comes through.

Well I posted on 31 August that I'd been informed that I won a Wii but I've had no further communication even though I have emailed billing, support and even the MD - seems a little suspicious at this point; I should have at least received a courtesy email.

Well, as good as their word - Amazon delivered a UK compatible Wii this morning to me in South Wales - good job OOO and thanks.
